He's got talent, vision and a rare ability to surprise his writers leading them where they wouldn't have thought to be led." Arkadin, Reviewer "Sivart delivers tales of adventure and excitement, of the macabre and the fantastic, of Human nature and of beastly legend. Sivart's anthology left this reader thirsting for more." LoBishi, Reviewer "Each piece takes the reader on a fantastical journey that is well described by the author. I really enjoyed this book! Mystery, magic, adventure all present.Pros: Exquisite imagining, very descriptive details, colorful but not vulgar. I loved the settings in most, if not all, of the chapters...old Victorian feel to them which pairs well with steampunk.
Cons: Some of the chapters need editing. Small problems with typos, duplicate words, etc. But nothing major to distract the reader. Some of the chapters were without blemish. I gave it four stars due to the errors. Without the errors, I would have given it five stars.
Reader to warned: these chapters are not one complete story, but rather short stories, yet all sort of blend together.
I would highly recommend this book.

Aetheric Elements The Rise of a Steampunk Reality Travis I Sivart 9781491245002 Books Reviews
Nice short stories, steam punk for sure, not my usual fare but I devoured the book in one setting, suspend current time and enjoy.
This book is a series of fascinating stories of mystic realms, well produced characters and interesting if not sickening villains. The description of one foe nearly made me physically ill (very well done). Each piece takes the reader on a fantastical journey that is well described by the author. You can feel the dry desert, almost taste the slop, or smell the acrid burning of fires (or something else much more sinister). An excellent choice for those into Steampunk, fantasy/sci-fi.
I struggled to find the common thread bu g it eventually found its way through. I liked the last story and how well it tied everything together.
Aetheric Elements, an anthology of short stories set in numerous historical eras, from an imagined Middle Ages to a Steampunk-style Wild West to a subjugated planet setting reminiscent of H.G.Wells' "War Of The Worlds". Sivart presents them all well, using various styles to tell the tales - a conversation in a bar for one story, third-person recollections for another, excerpts from a journal in the style of Bram Stoker's "Dracula". The common thread in all the tales, however, is Sivart's attention to detail - despite choosing the short-story format, the tales are packed with vivid description, giving the reader a 'front-row seat' experience seldom found in the short story arena.
Well done! I love the variety as well as the complexity of the stories of this universe. A fascinating collection in chronological order that definitely makes me want to read more, as well as see a history/timeline of this world. Keep up the good work!
I'm not usually into short stories since I like to see how characters develop in a long-term setting, but these were really fun since there were a number of re-occurring characters who would appear in the different stories. My favorite stories were Shadows of Worlds for its innovative concept that kept me guessing about what was reality and the final story, The Adventures of Friends on the Road to Manhood for covering the same characters over a lifetime.
The only thing all of these stories have in common is the world they are set in. There are several sub - stories, and each has a different writing style. I must say I'm a bit impressed by that.
One story struck me as very Lovecraftian, to the point where I was waiting for a cameo by Cthulu. The cameo did sort of come, in the form of an "octopus cane," but in a different story.
My only criticism is that there isn't really an overall story arc that threads through all the stories. This isn't a huge issue, but I do think the collection could be improved with a common issue. I'm also a bit peeved that a couple characters were left hanging.
I really enjoyed this book! Mystery, magic, adventure all present.
