Keith O'Leary thought his dreams had come true. He went from aspiring actor to celebrity thanks to his starring role as one half of a gay couple on a top cable television drama. And while playing lover on screen to Carl Bronson, Keith discovered an attraction that grew into a loving, trusting relationship with his co-star. Carl Bronson knows that image and perception are everything in Hollywood and although life would be easier if they did admit they are a couple as his lover Keith wants, Carl knows that for either of them have any chance of becoming leading men in motion pictures they must pretend, at least in public, to be straight. Now more than ever, as someone on the inside feeds details of their personal life to the tabloids, secrecy is even more crucial. Will Carl have to choose between love and career? Book two in G.A. Hauser's Action! series, featuring the scorching return of the charismatic and devastatingly handsome Mark Richfield and friends, drags Hollywood's hypocrisy regarding homosexuality out of the closet and shows that, sometimes, the only way to survive in the game is by Playing Dirty.

Part two in this series deals again with Kieth and Carl the two stars of Forever Young. Both men started out as straight men play gay lovers in a series for cable tv. They fell in love with each other and are told not to let the public know about it but at the same time not to be seen in public with women. What are to guys in love supposed to do.Enter Mark Richfield a friend of Kieth and Carl's agent Adam Lewis. Both men go gaga over Richfield and want to have a three way with him. Mark being the spineless jellyfish that he is sneaks off and does the deed behind Steve's back. Later the Stars want there director to ad a three way scene into the show and talk her into using Mark. Mark's guilt is getting to him so he won't do it unless the guys can convince Steve to let him. So the make a play for Steve and end up getting both Steve and Mark in the sack and then asking Steve if Mark can do the show. Of course Steve says yes.
So the show does a three way and the rating sky rocket and everyone loves Mark, but someone is secretly video taping the scenes with a cell phone and leaking them on Utube. Oh yea, once again Jack is pissed off at Mark. Why? Mark is his friend not his lover or husband, but for some reason he feels like Mark owes it to him to have sex with him rather than other people. What an Ass.
The guys still have problems with wanting to come out, plus Kieth's father is disgusted by him but it doesn't really seem to bother Kieth too much. Way to go Kieth, narrow minded homophobes even if they are your parents should not be tolerated and done deserve a second thought.
Kieth and Carl overcome and decide love is more important than bigotry and come out, actually they had been outed several times they just didn't acknowledge it, and both win Emmy awards for their acting.
I liked the two books but got annoyed towards the middle of this book with Kieth's overwhelming need for all things gay sex. He and Carl came onto other men like dogs in a butcher shop. It got monotonous.

It is a great book that I can read it over and over . It is such a great story.
Number two in this series , If you liked the first book you will like this one, Again it does leave you wanting the thrid book, which I have bought but have not read yet
I think this is one of my favourite books by G. A. Hauser. I really enjoyed the steamy parts. Which was mist of the book. Keep up the good work.
WARNING THE FOLLOWING BELOW MANY CONTAIN SPOILERS THAT THOSE WHO HAVE NOT READ THE BOOK DO NOT WANT TO KNOW!
So, I was really interested in this series after I read her Hero series. I absolutely adored the first book! It was amazing and well written, the storyline didn't go too fast, things weren't repeated time after time after time. I was so excited when the 2nd and 3rd book came in the mail for me!
The beginning of the the 2nd book was good, I liked it, it had the same type of atmosphere as the first one, I just loved it! Then Keith and Carl had to do the shooting at the gay bar...This is where it all started to go downhill for me. Keith was dancing with other men, wanting to go back to the bar with Carl to have a threesome with another man. Granted, not as bad as cheating, but still not acceptable at all in my opinion. When they brought home that guy Scott after their 'date with the girls' I didn't like it. I remember one like that was Keith's. " This shows that Carl is confident in our relationship." You wanna know what else is great? Being able to be in a relationship with one other person, able to please them in bed and off it without having to have another man come in and enjoy your personal sex time. In the beginning of the book, Keith was angry because he felt like the 'sex' they did on set was coming into his and Carl's time.
Then Mark and Steve came...I honestly wanted Steve to punch Mark in the face. Keith couldn't keep his eyes off the man, which, I feel, is totally cheating on Carl. I stopped reading there and skimmed the book, finding out that they have a threesome with Mark! I was so angry! I thought Steve was going to find out and be angry with him, possibly slap Keith and Carl in the face. But no! 20 pages later, the four of them are having a foursome! Yes, I know that this is reality and it does happen, with both homosexual relationships and heterosexual relationship. But I personally do not agree with it in either case.
So, I do know how the book ends. Keith and Carl end up getting married. But the book made me feel so heartbroken and sad, that I just wanted to cry and I was about to. I was ecstatic when I found out that there was 15 books in the Action! series, so happy! But now, I just need to know if the series is even worth reading. I know that the rest of the series is about Mark and Steve, since I do own the 3rd book and have looked at the covers and descriptions of all the other ones.
The question that I ask, to anyone that has read the series, is this even worth reading anymore? Or will the rest of the series just continue with Mark and Steve having threesomes, checking out other guys, going back and forth with their relationship? I want to know if this is in the other books before I spend $130 to get the rest of them.
I have no offense to the author G.A Hauser! I love the books that I have read so far, minus this one, and I love the way that she writes. This particular series of her's just might not be for me.
This is the sequel to Acting Naughty.
It's a book that I read in one sitting, because I had loved Keith and Carl in the first book. In this second book it's like I couldn't really recognise them anymore. It was all about the sex they were experimenting and the playing they were doing, but I wanted some romance too. I missed the discovering of one another that was so exciting in the first book. The sequel adds nothing more to their story than the ending.
The best part of the book was the fake double date, when you can feel the pain Keith and Carl feel in having to hide their relationship. I wish there had been more moments like that, when you can really reach into the soul of the characters. The wild sex was just an aspect of their chemistry, but I think it almost diminished their love.
I'm going to read the third book in the series Getting It In The End, because the author can really make you love her characters, so I want to follow them in other stories. In this book there's a super steamy encounter with Mark Richfield and Steve Miller from Capital Games. All together, yes, don't say I didn't warn you!
